How does fin length affect performance?

Longer fins provide more lift and upwind capability, making them ideal for heavier riders or underpowered conditions. Shorter fins offer quicker release and are better for maneuvers. A general rule: add 1cm per 10kg above 70kg body weight.

G10 vs Carbon: Which material is best?

G10 (fiberglass epoxy) is durable, affordable, and forgiving - great for recreational use. Carbon is lighter and stiffer, providing better response for racing and advanced riders. Carbon fins are more fragile but offer superior performance.

When to use Anti Weed fins?

Anti-weed fins are designed for spots with seaweed, grass, or floating debris. They feature a special leading edge that sheds weeds while maintaining performance. Essential for shallow water spots or areas prone to vegetation.

What box type do I need?

Check your board - Deep Tuttle (65mm) is common on freeride/slalom boards, standard Tuttle (43mm) on smaller boards, Powerbox on entry-level boards, and US Box on wave boards. The box depth affects stiffness and performance.
